Good morning Vikings and Friends,
Happy Wednesday! When you think about going outside and enjoying nature, what comes to mind first? Do you think about plants, animals, or a gorgeous sky? If you're like me, I'm guessing "people" may not come to mind at all when you think about nature. I was reading through a book about nature journaling, and was surprised that the author included sketches of her students and her children when she journaled. But we are, indeed, a very special and uniquely created part of nature.
So for today's nature break, notice the people around you when you're outside or taking a walk. Look for opportunities to wave or smile at other people out in your neighborhood. Take a moment to wonder about their story, or perhaps appreciate the plants lovingly tended in their yard. Maybe make a note in your journal about how many people you saw today. I wonder if more people in my neighborhood explore outdoors by walking, or staying in their yard and gardening?
Happy Adventuring!
