Preparing for the 24-25 School Year: Back-to-School Events

As we enter the second half of the summer, we are filled with anticipation for the upcoming academic year. The back-to-school events are designed to welcome students, staff, and families back on campus and to set the stage for a successful year ahead.

The festivities begin with the Class of 2028 Adventures on July 29th and August 2nd with a Hike at Cleburne State Park and a pool party. These special events are crafted to introduce our incoming freshmen to the Nolan Catholic community and start to get to know one another.

Next up is the Esto Dux Social on August 7th and 8th, an event designed to bring our Viking community together to kick off the 2024-2025 school year. Families will enjoy a refreshing summer treat, learn more about the upcoming school year, receive student locker assignments, and receive student and parent parking stickers.

On August 9th, we will host the Meet the Vikings, Fall Sports Social. This event is a fantastic opportunity for students, parents, and staff to meet our fall sports teams. It will feature coaches introductions, Viking fellowship, and a chance to show school spirit as we cheer on our Viking athletes.

New Student Orientation will take place on August 13th, providing a comprehensive introduction to our school for all new students. This orientation will help students familiarize themselves with the campus, meet their teachers, and learn about the various resources and opportunities available at Nolan Catholic.

Following these orientations, the first day of school is set for August 14th. Our dedicated faculty and staff have been working tirelessly to prepare for the return of our students, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for all.

To wrap up the month, Parent Back to School Night will be held on August 21st. This event is designed to provide parents with an overview of the upcoming school year, meet their student's teachers, and learn about the curriculum and extracurricular activities.

More information for each event can be found in the School Talk Summer Edition No. 2.

We look forward to seeing everyone at these events and embarking on another year of excellence at Nolan Catholic High School. Let’s make this year the best one yet!
